Matthew Gray

Since 2013 Matthew Gray has specialized in college and graduate school counseling. Prior to managing ACG, Matthew spent eight years as a commercial litigator at the international law firm of Greenberg Traurig, LLP. Through the Cornell Alumni Admissions Ambassador Network, Matthew counseled Cornell applicants on the admissions process and advised the University Admissions Office regarding candidates’ qualifications and compatibility with University standards. Matthew graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in American Studies in 2001 and earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2004.

Association Memberships: National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA).

Our Philosophy

Academic Counseling Group is dedicated to helping clients of all ages identify and select suitable schools, colleges, and educational programs. Our primary concern is the welfare of our clients with whom we are working. Our obligation is to represent them accurately based upon professional evaluation of the circumstances and requirements of each case.

We do not accept or solicit fees from any schools or institutions, but are paid directly by our clients (individuals or their parents) for our services. This ensures unbiased advice and recommendations based on the consultants’ professional judgment of a clients needs and abilities.

We respect the integrity and confidentiality of the consulting relationship and of all relevant information.  Academic Counseling Group does not discriminate against clients on the basis of sex, race, color, religion, or national or ethnic origin.
